From a very humble start in 2008, OneMoreStep has progressively raised more funds and helped more orphans and impoverished children. Here is a quick recap on 2010 : $ 1651 raised for Gift Drive and $ 1350 raised towards the Education Fund. Our volunteers in Vietnam delivered the gifts, supplies and aid tbo both locations of Xuan Tam Orphange and the Nam Hung orphanage. Please take a few minutes to explore our past sites and the photo albums. The education fund for 2010 has not been fully disbursed yet and will be put to effective use in the coming months for supporting deserving education projects.
But 2011 is going to be our most exciting year yet as we are helping 5 new orphanages, spread out over many different regions in Vietnam. Also, this year and we will also have a few of our Canadian members in the field in Vietnam, working directly with these orphanages and sending us a first hand report on their experiences. They will also be evaluating which projects to support in the coming year and will also disburse the education fund from 2010.
We thank all our supporters in the past 3 years. Without you, none of this would have been possible. And with a increased target of $4000 this year, we will need your support and kindness again. We are sure you will be touched by the smiles on faces of the orphans. And we call on you help us do it again this Holiday Season.
